Dr. Howard Gitlowwas a mentee of W. E. Deming, Ph.D., who was a Professor at the Stern School of Business and developed the System of Profound Knowledge, 14 points for management, and the seven deadly diseases of management. Dr. Gitlow synthesized Deming’s management theory with the administrative systems of the Japanese Way of Total Quality Control and the tools and methods of Six Sigma management and Lean Manufacturing. Dr. Howard Gitlow graduated from New York University with a B.S. in Statistics in 1969, an M.B.A. in 1972, and a Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research in 1974. He was also a visiting professor at the Stern School of Business of New York University from 2007 to 2014, as well as at the Science University of Tokyo in 1990.
