Dr. Jay “Jason” Eitner founded Eitner Education in 2015 out of the need for educational professional development for teachers, administrators, schools, and school districts. Before starting Eitner Education, Dr. Eitner got his start in the classroom as an 8th grade teacher known for being student-focused, technology driven, and innovative in his teaching methods. As a result, his students admired him, and his classrooms consistently performed highly. Dr. Eitner went on to also serve as middle school Assistant Principal, a K-12 Supervisor, and has been a Superintendent of Schools in three districts. He was the 2015 educators’ choice pick for the National Superintendent of the Year at the BAMMY awards.
With his years of valuable, hands-on experience, Dr. Eitner oversees various roles in Eitner Education and offers a plethora of services. His current role is Comptroller and Commissioner of Education. His roles there have also included Interim Superintendent, Interim County Superintendent, Interim Commissioner of Education, and Chief Education Officer and Comptroller. Dr. Eitner’s areas of expertise are far-reaching. His focus is on driving educational success through program innovation, operational excellence, budget management, and district-wide resource optimization. He has overseen outstanding achievements in distant learning, fundraising, staff development, technology implementation, and innovative corporate training and human resources initiatives.
