Earn While You Fantasize Your Favorite Game

Sitting idle has no fun or excitement in it, neither now nor before. So we have games and sports in our life as these things bring liveliness and activeness in it. Things that were once played for fun and entertainment has now turned into a highly competitive and respective job. Luka Doncic’s game winner over the Clippers was pure joy

Luka Doncic suffered a scary leg injury late in Game 3 just two days ago that put his availability for the rest of the series in question. With his Dallas Mavericks trailing the Los Angeles Clippers 2-1, Doncic decided to gut it out and play in Game 4. All he did was deliver what is perhaps the signature game of his incredible career up to this point. Doncic carried the Mavs to a 135-133 overtime win, and sealed the victory with a step-back jumper at the buzzer. This is just filthy.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/index.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-0&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1297664129826619393&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sbnation.com%2Fnba%2F2020%2F8%2F23%2F21398391%2Fluka-doncic-game-winner-clippers-mavs&siteScreenName=SBNation&theme=light&widgetsVersion=223fc1c4%3A1596143124634&width=550px Doncic finished the game with 43 points,…

Cowboys offensive line coach Joe Philbin will have his hands full in 2020

It’s been said that the offensive line coach is the most important position coach on a football team. It makes sense given that an offensive line coach is responsible for five starters on every single play, or 45% of the offense. And as Andrew Luck can attest to, a poor offensive line can not only destroy a team’s chances at success, but even individual careers. But that wasn’t supposed to be the case for the Cowboys and new offensive line coach Joe Philbin, who coincidentally coached the trenches for two of Luck’s final three seasons…

John Fassel attributes Greg Zuerlein’s struggles in 2019 to a groin pull

It has been just about two years since the Dallas Cowboys stunned us all and released longtime kicker Dan Bailey. Ever since then it has been a rocky, to say the least, journey to find stability at the all-important position. Dallas elected to go with Brett Maher for all of the 2018 season and while the results weren’t terrible that honeymoon was short-lived. Maher was one of the worst kickers in the NFL last year, was cut after Thanksgiving, and is somewhat emblematic of the problems that existed under the old coaching regime. Those are things…

Cowboys news: Camp observations, players that have been impressive so far

Some of the latest camp observations. Wide receiver Devin Smith was a standout. He caught multiple touchdowns, including a red-zone play in which he shook past second-round pick Trevon Diggs in coverage. Smith is fighting for a roster spot. His lack of contribution on special teams kept him from finding the field in 2019; he appeared in four games with two starts. Cedrick Wilson has had a stronger camp to date. Lamb, Diggs, Wilson and Pollard returned punts. Defensive end Everson Griffen and nose tackle Dontari Poe continued to be eased into practice action. Neither participated in team drills,…

Washington Football Team Head Coach Ron Rivera has been diagnosed with cancer

The Islanders blew an early 2-0 lead against the Capitals in Game 4 when they had a chance to sweep them. In Game 5 they held a 2-0 lead from the midway point of the second period, courtesy of Anthony Beauvillier, and they weren’t about to blow it again. Beauvillier had the only two goals of the game until Washington pulled Braden Holtby for an extra attacker. The Isles scored two empty net goals to seal the deal and Semyon Varlamov ended up pitching a shutout for good measure as New York eliminated Washington in five games. [Game Sum | Event…

Japanese Companies Don’t Want the Olympics Next Year Either, and Who Could Blame Them?

The Olympics saddle cities with debt and isolate local businesses from the games. So why would companies want anything to do with the Olympics? Turns out, many don’t. Today, a new survey shows that a majority of Japanese firms oppose a rescheduled Olympics next year. Out of 12,857 Japanese companies surveyed, more than 50 percent of respondents want the Games either canceled or postponed (again) in 2021. Jules Boykoff is a political scientist who has written four books about the Olympics. I asked him why businesses, like the thousands of Japanese companies,…

Fox Sports Fires Thom Brennaman Day After Homophobic Slur, He Wants Us to Believe He Didn’t Know its History [UPDATED]

Wednesday night, after a hot mic caught him using a homophobic slur, Reds broadcaster Thom Brennaman didn’t know if he’d ever be putting on headphones for Fox Sports again. A day later, he knows he won’t be. Less than 24 hours after he can be heard saying “one of the great f*g capitals of the world,” Brennaman was suspended by the Reds and now fired by Fox Sports. “FOX Sports is extremely disappointed with Thom Brennaman’s remarks during Wednesday’s Cincinnati Reds telecast,” the network said in a statement about the…

The Mets Are Diseased – No, For Real This Time

While they’ve pretty much been a plague their entire existence, never have the New York Mets come across being an actual incubus themselves. At least of an actual virus. Well, that’s not true either, given the stories around the 80s and 90s Mets. However this time, instead of being an epicenter of general grossness, ignorance, or helplessness, the Mets are just the latest example of MLB’s and the country’s grossness, ignorance, and helplessness. The Mets game against the Marlins tonight and the first game of the Subway Series against the…
